It uses varied interactions and realistic scenarios to keep healthcare workers engaged while turning HIPAA concepts into everyday judgment calls. Made for anyone handling patient information who needs to know what to do when it matters, not just recite the law.

The Challenge:

HIPAA requirements are dense and technical, which can make training feel abstract—learners may memorize rules without connecting them to the decisions they face on the job.

The Solution:

I designed the course around realistic scenarios and varied interactions that connect HIPAA concepts to everyday choices, helping learners recognize PHI and build confidence in their day-to-day responsibilities.

Varied Interactions
Used a mix of labeled graphics, sorting, matching, and other interactions to break up dense compliance content and keep lessons from feeling repetitive.

Scenario-Based Practice
Used realistic workplace situations to help learners move from knowing HIPAA rules to applying them when making everyday privacy decisions.

Scannable Review

Created a concise Key Takeaways lesson before the final assessment so learners could quickly review the most important concepts before being assessed.
